I feel like the ending couldve been alot less straight forward, but if he stood up against his father maybe that wouldve been too predictable. Being a "free thinker" is often in vain. The world is truly structured for people to walk the same path everyone else has taken. The reason your dream is a risk is because its the road less traveled, which means the entire process of learning and refining is entirely up to you. To follow your dream is to not betray yourself, its to be authentic and authenticity is intimidating. The difficulty is maintaining your own beliefs in the face of others. No one ever wants to meet a walking example of what they could have been.
